CEO Alexander Kos is in charge of the strategic direction and planning of the company. He joined The American Dream in 2008 and is the contact for all questions regarding contracts and cooperations.
Mr. Kos studied Law at the Humboldt University of Berlin with a focus on foreign law. Since he spent his exchange year in Philadelphia, he loves to travel regularly to the United States, privately and on business.
Sonja Pucher, Head of Visa Service, is responsible for the functional and organizational management of the US Visa Service and was significantly involved in developing this part of the business. With over 10 years of experience, she is an expert in U.S. immigration law.
Ms. Pucher's supports companies that manage international assignments through the complex U.S. visa application process. She coordinates the strategic planning and execution in our internal teams. Ms. Pucher will answer any question regarding U.S. immigration laws you may have as visa applications for employee transfers to the United States are her area of expertise.
She regularly demonstrates her knowledge as a speaker at conferences and other events.
Ms. Pucher holds a Master of Laws degree, studied political science and social education, and she is a government licensed emigration consultant for the United States.
Tanja Schimming started working for the US Visa Service in October 2011. Since 2015, she is a Senior Visa Consultant and advises businesses and private customers on site and on the phone. In collaboration with the customer, she gives advice on different visa categories and proposes strategies, which allow businesses and their employees to enter the United States with an appropriate visa as fast as possible.
Tanja Schimming, who has both the German and American citizenship, lived in the United States for 13 years, in which she also obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and worked in different business sectors.
She has the license to counsel emigrants regarding the United States and entry requirements.
Ulrike Schulze started working for the US Visa Service in August 2014. As a Visa Consultant, she is counseling businesses and private customers personally in our offices in Berlin and by phone. Together with the customer, she gives advice on different visa categories and proposes strategies, which allow businesses and their employees to enter the United States with an appropriate visa. Ms Schulze is head of the J-1 / F-1 department.
Ulrike Schulze lived in the United States for two years, in which she also finished her Bachelor's degree in North American Studies. Afterwards she obtained a Master's degree from the Free University of Berlin, with a focus on Politics and Economics.
Carolin Mattern joined the The American Dream - US Visa Service in August 2012. She helps students and young graduates with their visa application for an internship in the United States. She also assists businesses and private customers with the application for work visa.
Carolin Mattern has a degree in Cultural and Intercultural Communication Studies. Since 2009, she is working on applications for J-1 Visa for au pairs and language trips.
Linda Haacker started working for the US Visa Service after obtaining her Master's degree in Urban Studies from the Technical University of Berlin. As Visa Consultant, she focuses on advising businesses and private customers on ESTA as well as visa applications for tourists and business travelers. Furthermore she assists journalists in applying for an appropriate work visa and helps you through the process of joining the Global Entry Program.
Jana Däubler became part of the US Visa Service team in December 2017. As Visa Consultant, she assists international businesses with visa applications for intracompany transfers to the United States.
She has more than 15 years of work experience in the aerospace industry, where she worked as an expert for business travel and quality management.
She also is a certified foreign language correspondent and gained experience in different positions, for example in international customer services and multinational assignments.
Anne-Luise Gerlach joined the US Visa Service team in December 2017. As Visa Consultant, she advises students and young graduates on visa applications for a study, internship, vocational training or research stay in the United States.
She first touched upon the J-1 Visa while working as an au pair in the United States for one year. Afterwards she moved to Denmark and Sweden, where she acquired a bachelor’s degree in Intercultural Communication and Modern Languages. She subsequently studied for her master’s degree in Culture, Language and Media at Europa-Universität Flensburg.
Anne-Luise Gerlach has previously worked for an au pair organization where she gained experience in cultural exchange programs.
Ewa Meiß was born in Poland and has been living in Berlin for 21 years. She joined the US Visa Service in August 2018 and is responsible for the processing of E visa.
Ms Meiß has many years of professional experience. She was employed as an au pair at the Polish Embassy in Washington D.C. for several months and later completed her vocational training in the aviation industry, in which she has worked for over 10 years. She is a certified Tourism Expert and has obtained the Bachelor degree Professional of Tourism. It should also be noted that Ms Meiß was honored by the Chambers of Commerce for attaining the top grades in their year in Berlin in 2018.
Anna Engnath started working for The American Dream - US Visa Service as Junior Visa Consultant in August 2018. She advises companies on visa applications for employees and their family members.
She first came into contact with the topic of US visa when she attended high school in the United States, for which she needed a F-1 visa.
After studying American Studies and Romance Philology Spanish at Ruhr-University in Bochum, she moved to Cologne to obtain a Master of Arts degree in North American Studies.
She gained first work experience in the field of international exchange and study trips at an educational institution.
In April 2019 Sandra Queißer joined the US Visa Service as Junior Visa Consultant. She assists our business and private customers in the application process for work visas well as visas for education and training.
Like most of our visa specialists, Sandra Queißer has extensive U.S. experience. In addition to numerous U.S. trips with ESTA since the age of 15, she visited a High School in Indiana on a J-1 Exchange Visitor visa.
She completed her Bachelors degree in American Studies with focus on U.S. History and Religion at the oldest university in Germany – the University of Heidelberg. This was followed by one year of study abroad in Utah, using a second J-1 visa.
The United States continued playing an important role in her life. After internships at the German American Insitute Tübingen and the U.S. Department at the Federal Foreign Office, she supported sales, customer success and operations at a U.S. specialized au pair agency, before joining the US Visa team.
Klara Altmeyer started working for the US Visa Service in June 2017 and initially supported all visa departments as Visa Team Assistant in processing visa applications. Since October 2019, she has enriched the B-Visa team as Junior Visa Consultant and now focuses more strongly on advising and supporting companies requiring visas for business travel and after-sales services. Ms Altmeyer also takes care of the special needs of crew members and journalists who wish to work in the USA. Last but not least, Ms Altmeyer will now also be answering customer enquiries, who can reach us by telephone at our ESTA and Global Entry hotline.
After participating in a high school exchange program in Oklahoma in 2010, she became fascinated by the land of opportunity. After successfully completing a Bachelor's degree in American Studies and Social Studies at Humboldt-Universität, she crowned her academic career with a Master's degree in North American Studies at Freie Universität Berlin.
After she had lived and worked in the United States for about six years, Isabelle Billingsley joined the US Visa Service team in November 2015 and is responsible for the Office Management.
Julia Ringseis started working for the US Visa Service in November 2016. She is responsible for Accounting.
After studying Economics, Sociology and Political Science, she has gained years of experience in Project Management and Controlling.
Saskia Chelmowski started working for The American Dream - US Visa Service in May 2019. She is executive assistant to the CEO and also responsible for office management. Moreover she fulfills a wide range of tasks such as administration, human resources, and controlling.
Saskia Chelmowski had lived and studied in the United States for about three years. After finishing her Bachelor's degree in English Studies, she obtained a Master of Arts degree from the Free University of Berlin, with a focus on Culture and Literature.
Janik Sander has been supporting the US Visa Service Team in processing visa applications since mid-October 2019. He mainly supports our experts of the B department, who cover business travel and holidays in the USA.
Mr Sander is currently studying at Freie Universität Berlin. Because of his interest in the United States, he attends the John F. Kennedy Institute for North American Studies. He got to know and appreciate the country and people in the U.S. during his high school stay abroad in Berkeley, California.
After having completed a Franco-German studies programme, Katarina Strehober moved across the pond and is in charge of Marketing since 2010. She focusses on planning and executing all marketing activities, especially the development of our corporate design and the business customer's newsletter.
Ms Zander has been mixing up the visa world since September 2019. After studying Intercultural European and American Studies, Katharina Zander deepened her U.S. knowledge with our sister company The American Dream - US GreenCard Service, where she advised and supported GreenCard lottery customers for over two years before, during and after their immigration to the United States. After being responsible for private customers, she is now active in the business client area. As of now Ms Zander serves as sales contact and is responsible for the maintenance of the corporate network.
Lukas Baumann joined the marketing team in January 2019 and manages since then all social media channels. Furthermore he is responsible for acquiring advertising partners through affiliate programs or affiliate networks.
