CEO Alexander Kos is in charge of the strategic direction and planning of the company. He joined The American Dream in 2008 and is the contact for all questions regarding contracts and cooperations.

Mr. Kos studied Law at the Humboldt University of Berlin with a focus on foreign law. Since he spent his exchange year in Philadelphia, he loves to travel regularly to the United States, privately and on business.

Sonja Pucher

Head of Visa Service

Sonja Pucher, Head of Visa Service, is responsible for the functional and organizational management of the US Visa Service and was significantly involved in developing this part of the business. With over 10 years of experience, she is an expert in U.S. immigration law.

Ms. Pucher's supports companies that manage international assignments through the complex U.S. visa application process. She coordinates the strategic planning and execution in our internal teams. Ms. Pucher will answer any question regarding U.S. immigration laws you may have as visa applications for employee transfers to the United States are her area of expertise.

She regularly demonstrates her knowledge as a speaker at conferences and other events.

Ms. Pucher holds a Master of Laws degree, studied political science and social education, and she is a government licensed emigration consultant for the United States.

Tanja Schimming

Senior Visa Consultant

Tanja Schimming started working for the US Visa Service in October 2011. Since 2015, she is a Senior Visa Consultant and advises businesses and private customers on site and on the phone. In collaboration with the customer, she gives advice on different visa categories and proposes strategies, which allow businesses and their employees to enter the United States with an appropriate visa as fast as possible.

Tanja Schimming, who has both the German and American citizenship, lived in the United States for 13 years, in which she also obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and worked in different business sectors.

She has the license to counsel emigrants regarding the United States and entry requirements.

Carolin Mattern joined the The American Dream – US Visa Service in August 2012 as Visa Consultant. Initially, she helped students and young graduates with their visa application for an internship, training, or studies in the United States. In the meantime, her focus has shifted to assisting businesses and private customers with the application for work and business visas.

Carolin Mattern has a degree in Cultural and Intercultural Communication Studies. Afterwards she gained experiences in the J-1 visa segment for au pair programs and language trips.

Linda Haacker

After obtaining her Master's degree in Urban Studies from the Technical University of Berlin Linda Haacker started working for the US Visa Service in May 2016. As part of her promotion to the position of a Visa Consultant in November 2017, she was assigned more extensive responsibilities and she specialized in new visa areas.

Since then, she focuses on advising businesses and private customers on ESTA as well as visa applications for tourists and business travelers. Furthermore she assists journalists in applying for an appropriate work visa.

Ms. Haacker also assists travellers to the USA in applying for Global Entry.

Jana Däubler became part of the US Visa Service team in December 2017. As Visa Consultant, she assists international businesses with visa applications for intracompany transfers to the United States.

She has more than 15 years of work experience in the aerospace industry, where she worked as an expert for business travel and quality management.

She also is a certified foreign language correspondent and gained experience in different positions, for example in international customer services and multinational assignments.

Anne-Luise Gerlach

Visa Consultant

Anne-Luise Gerlach joined the US Visa Service team in December 2017. As Visa Consultant, she advises students and young graduates on visa applications for a study, internship, vocational training or research stay in the United States.

She first touched upon the J-1 Visa while working as an au pair in the United States for one year. Afterwards she moved to Denmark and Sweden, where she acquired a bachelor’s degree in Intercultural Communication and Modern Languages. She subsequently studied for her master’s degree in Culture, Language and Media at Europa-Universität Flensburg.

Anne-Luise Gerlach has previously worked for an au pair organization where she gained experience in cultural exchange programs.

Ewa Meiß

Ewa Meiß was born in Poland and has been living in Berlin for more than 20 years. She joined the US Visa Service in August 2018 and is responsible for the processing of E visa. Since January 2020 she bears the title Visa Consultant. 

Ms Meiß has many years of professional experience. She was employed as an au pair at the Polish Embassy in Washington D.C. for several months and later completed her vocational training in the aviation industry, in which she has worked for over 10 years. She is a certified Tourism Expert and has obtained the Bachelor degree Professional of Tourism. It should also be noted that Ms Meiß was honored by the Chambers of Commerce for attaining the top grades in their year in Berlin in 2018.

Anna Engnath started working for The American Dream - US Visa Service in August 2018. Since January 2020 she holds the position of a Visa Consultant. She advises companies on visa applications for employees and their family members. Additionally, she assists students and trainees with visa applications.

She first came into contact with the topic of U.S. visas when she attended high school in the United States, for which she needed a F-1 visa.

After studying American Studies and Romance Philology Spanish at Ruhr-University in Bochum, she moved to Cologne to obtain a Master of Arts degree in North American Studies.

She gained first work experience in the field of international exchange and study trips at an educational institution.

Klara Altmeyer started working for the US Visa Service in June 2017 and initially supported all visa departments as Visa Team Assistant in processing visa applications. After she joined the B visa team in October 2019 as Junior Visa Consultant, she was promoted to Visa Consultant in September 2020. As a result, Ms Altmeyer is now focusing even more strongly on advising and supporting companies requiring visas for business travel and after-sales services. Ms Altmeyer also takes care of the special needs of crew members and journalists who wish to work in the USA. Last but not least, Ms Altmeyer answers all customer inquiries regarding ESTA and Global Entry, which reach us by phone.

After participating in a high school exchange program in Oklahoma in 2010, she became fascinated by the land of opportunity. After successfully completing a Bachelor's degree in American Studies and Social Studies at Humboldt-Universität, she crowned her academic career with a Master's degree in North American Studies at Freie Universität Berlin.

Hainan Wang joined the B visa team in September 2021 as a Junior Visa Consultant and supports the application process for tourist visas as well as business visas for e.g. business travelers, maintenance workers, and service technicians.

After her bachelor studies in China, she completed her Master of Business Administration in International Hotel and Tourism Management in France and spent three years there. After working in customer service for airlines and luxury hotels in China, France and Germany, Hainan Wang specialized in business visa and work visa services. Our entire US Visa Service Team and last but not least our customers will benefit from these diverse impressions and experiences.

In September 2021, Katja Riedel joined the US Visa Service as a Junior Visa Consultant. She focuses in particular on assisting companies or students and young graduates with visa applications for e.g. training, internships or research stays.

After graduating from high school, Ms Riedel went to the United States for two years as an au pair finding a second home there. After returning to Germany, she decided to pursue her passion for the United States by studying American Studies and Social Sciences at Humboldt University in Berlin. Subsequently, Ms Riedel received her Master of Arts in American Studies at HU Berlin. During her studies, she already completed various internships, which included one at the U.S. embassy in Berlin.

Visa Team Assistant

Janik Sander has been supporting the US Visa Service Team in processing visa applications since mid-October 2019. He mainly supports our experts of the B department, who cover business travel and holidays in the USA.

Mr Sander is currently studying at Freie Universität Berlin. Because of his interest in the United States, he attends the John F. Kennedy Institute for North American Studies. He got to know and appreciate the country and people in the U.S. during his high school stay abroad in Berkeley, California.

Lea Bruckhoff joined The American Dream in July 2021 to expand the marketing department at the US Visa Service, from executing marketing projects to newsletters to design matters.

After losing her heart to the US through a student exchange, Lea Bruckhoff came back years later to work in Florida.
In the past years, Ms. Bruckhoff has gained experience in the field of marketing and has organized high school stays for teenagers, among other things.
