The US Embassy Berlin can be found in several locations. For consular services such as US visas and US passports, applicants must go to Berlin-Dahlem (Clayallee). The office is located in the U.S. Embassy Berlin building on Pariser Platz.
The US Embassy Berlin is normally open to applicants Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., but is closed on all German and American holidays closed. However, admission is granted only by prior appointment.
Almost all applicants for nonimmigrant visas (e.g. B-1 / B-2 visas) between the ages of 14 and 79 must apply for their visa in person at one of the responsible consulates. Applicants who wish to appear at the US consulate in Berlin must make an appointment in advance. The arrangement of a visa interview appointment is usually made online or by telephone through the visa service provider CGI.
