Position Summary:

The Project Engineer is responsible for the development of drawings as well as organizal management in the team. Concerning the drawings, the Project Engineer has to implement information and documents of the client and third parties, optimize solutions and indicate possible problems.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. General review, implementation and integration of changes and updates of progress data provided by the client or external companies in the master layout and related document.
2. Position and general review of auxiliary and small building layouts
3. Development and preparation of specific topic related layout drawings
4. Development and prepared documents to the responsible coordinators of third parties
5. Documentation of all changes concerning master planning (requet, impact, results, document distribution)
6. Support and participation in clarification meetings with equipment suppliers and design engineers
7. Participation in regular design meetings with the client
8. Development of guidelines
9. IT support; hard- and software support and maintenance

Position Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field
• Strong skills in analysis of industrial plants
• Minimum 3-5 years´ experience of Structural Plant design
• In-depth understanding of the project’s data basis
• Fluent (oral and written) in German and English; additional language skills appreciated
• Knowledge of legal framework for planning in Germany and the US
• Strong skills in organization and teamwork
• Expert knowledge in drafting software (CAD)

1. Develop drawing according to desired specifications using specialized software.
2. Position and general review of auxiliary and small building layouts
3. Development and preparation of specific topic related layout drawings
4. Documentation of all changes concerning master planning (request, impacts, results, document distribution)

Organizational Management                              30%

1. Manage project within the project group
2. Support and participation in technical meetings with the client and third parties to determine and task and delegate tasks within the project group
3. Support and participation in clarification meetings with equipment suppliers and design engineers

Implementation of Information                         20%

1. Implementation of drawings according to client’s guidelines.
2. Troubleshoot in case of problems.
3. Adjust and suggest solutions.

Position Requirements:
